A rare sestertius of Caracalla celebrating the British Campaign

Caracalla, 198-217. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 26.56 g, 12 h), Rome, 211. M AVREL ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT Laureate head of Caracalla to right. Rev. VICT BRIT TR P XIIII COS III / S C Victory standing right, placing her right foot on helmet and erecting trophy, consisting of helmet, cuirass, shields, spears and greaves; to right, Britannia, veiled, standing facing with her hands bound behind her back; at her feet, bound captive seated to left. BMC -, cf. 266 (bust with slight drapery). Cohen -. RIC 483c. Rare. An attractive example with lovely orichalcum surfaces. Minor marks on the obverse and with light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
